I am a Doctor who enjoys both travel and learning about interesting places. This blog focuses on some of my favourite unique sites I’ve visited with my family over the years.

From a young age, I have had a strong interest in all things macabre, I have always loved being frightened and think there is nothing like a good ghost story. And as a doctor, I am also fascinated by medical history -dark as it may be - and enjoy learning about early medical practices and the pioneering doctors and their discoveries.

In my travels, I endeavour to visit places that are unique and different, encompassing both of my passions: learning about history with a touch of fear and intrigue. I especially enjoy visiting medical museums, curiosity shops, beautiful old graveyards, and the odd ossuary. Ultimately, I appreciate any place that is intriguing and has a good story to tell.

What I love most about these locations are the stories of the people and the histories that make them fascinating. In this blog I aim to share these places and their stories so others can enjoy and learn a bit of history as well.
